3.8. Oil pump

GENERAL INFORMATION

1–gear belt;
2–oil pallet of a case;
3–bolt of fastening of a pulley of a gear belt;
4–pulley of a gear belt;
5–oil pump.

Oil pump of the FE DOHC engine

1–cover of the oil pump;
2–external rotor;
3–internal rotor;
4–safety valve;
5–epiploon;
6–case of the oil pump.

Oil pump of the DOHC T8 engine

1–cover of the oil pump;
2–external rotor;
3–internal rotor;
4–safety valve;
5–epiploon;
6–case of the oil pump.

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect a wire from the negative plug of the storage battery.
2. Turn out a stopper plum of oil and merge oil from the engine.
3. Remove a gear belt of a drive of the gas-distributing mechanism.
4. Remove the oil pallet and a maslozaborny tube with the mesh filter.
5. Turn out a bolt of fastening of a pulley of a gear belt of a cranked shaft.
6. Remove a pulley of a gear belt from a cranked shaft.
7. Turn out bolts of fastening of the oil pump and remove the oil pump from the block of cylinders of the engine.

Dismantling

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Turn out seven screws and uncover the oil pump.
2. Remove external and internal rotors from the case of the oil pump.
3. Remove.
4. Remove an epiploon of the oil pump.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Check a condition and, if necessary, replace the following details:

– the deformed or damaged case and/or a cover of the oil pump;
– the worn-out or damaged plunzher;
– the weakened or broken spring.
2. By a metal ruler and shchupy measure a lateral gap of rotors of the oil pump.

Maximum permissible lateral gap of rotors of the oil pump: 0,10 mm

3. By Shchup measure a gap between teeths of rotors of the oil pump.

Maximum permissible gap between teeths of rotors of the oil pump: 0,18 mm

4. By Shchup measure a gap between an external rotor and the case of the oil pump.

Maximum permissible gap between an external rotor and the case of the oil pump: 0,20 mm


Assembly

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Grease with engine oil a working edge of a new epiploon and an epiploon nest.
2. Press an epiploon in a nest of the case of the pump.
3. Establish in the pump case a plunzher and a spring.
4. Establish a persistent ring.
5. Establish external and internal rotors in the case of the oil pump.
6. Apply a thin film hermetic on a carving of screws of fastening of a cover.
7. Establish a cover of the oil pump and fix screws.

Inhaling moments: 6–9Н • m

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Put konsistentny greasing on a new sealing ring and insert it into the case of the oil pump.
2. Put a continuous layer of hermetic on an interfaced surface of the oil pump. After drawing of hermetic it is necessary to establish the oil pump no more than in 5 minutes.
3. Establish the oil pump and fix bolts.
4. Further installation is carried out to sequences, return to removal.
5. Fill in in the engine necessary amount of demanded engine oil.
6. Connect a wire to the negative plug of the storage battery.
7. Start up the engine and check absence of leakages of oil.
8. Check level of engine oil and, if necessary, finish it to norm.
