GENERAL INFORMATION

Sensor of impulses of system of ignition of the FE DOHC engine

FE DOHC engine

The sensor of impulses of system of ignition of the FE DOHC engine consists of the photo diode and a disk with the cuts, established in the ignition distributor. The photo diode perceives light passing from a light-emitting diode through 116 cuts (an angle of rotation of a cranked shaft) and one cut (the sensor of the top dead point of the cylinder No. 1) on a rotating disk.

This type of the distributor of ignition is not equipped with devices of a centrifugal advancing or vacuum correction. Their functions carry out signals from the sensor of provision of a cranked shaft and the sensor of the top dead point of the cylinder No. 1. For optimization of a corner of an advancing of ignition these signals are processed by the RSM control unit.

High-voltage wires connect ignition coils to spark plugs.
The spark plug serves for transfer of the high-tension current developed in the coil of ignition, to electrodes in the combustion chamber where this current makes the spark category for ignition of a toplivnovozdushny mix.

DOHC T8 engine

In electronic system of ignition of the DOHC T8 engine without the ignition distributor installation of a corner of an advancing of ignition is defined and established by the control unit the engine based on signals from various sensors and switches. The control unit the engine changes installation of a corner of an advancing of ignition according to frequency of rotation of the engine, amount of the arrived air, temperature of cooling liquid and other conditions.

The control unit the engine gives a signal to the corresponding coil of ignition which develops a high-tension current and transfers this current to a spark plug.

In contactless system of ignition the impulse of ignition moves at once on two spark plugs, one on the compression step, one on an exhaust step – the ignition spark on a step of an exhaust does not render any value for operation of the engine and consequently is spent for nothing. Cylinders are grouped according to an operating procedure of cylinders. Each coil of ignition actually consists of the 2nd separate high-voltage windings which submit a spark to two cylinders everyone (one to cylinders No. 1 and 4, and another to cylinders No. 2 and 3).

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. In the engine two coils of ignition are established on the top part of a cover of heads of cylinders.
2. The sensor of a phase of ignition is established on the back party on a camshaft exit.
