7.6. Ignition coil

Check of resistance of primary winding

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. An ohmmeter check resistance of primary winding of the coil of ignition.

If resistance differs from demanded, replace the ignition coil.

Resistance of primary winding:
FE DOHC engine: 0,81–0,99 Ohm (at 20°С)
DOHC T8 engine: 0,45–0,55 Ohm (at 20°С)

Check of resistance of a secondary winding
2. An ohmmeter check resistance of a secondary winding of the coil of ignition. If resistance differs from demanded, replace the ignition coil.

Resistance of a secondary winding:
DOHC T8 engine: 13–15 kiloohms at 20°C
