The system of blocking of the car (VIM) is put in action by a radio transmitter. Via the consecutive interface it exchanges the coded messages with the module of management of transmission (RSM). It also serves for unlocking and locking of doors. There is diagnostics line. By means of this line it is possible to inspect VIM and RSM. Definitions of codes
Transmitter code:
Internal code of each transmitter – the fixed code, a changing code and a casual code. It is used for an unblocking of VIM and door opening / closing
Code of transfer of management:
Internal VIM code It is used only at removal or installations for VIM–PCM and VIM transmitter coordination.
Engine code:
The RSM internal code which becomes as well a code of transfer of management.
Limp home code:
It is used for management interception at malfunction of the VIM line or a radio communication.
Prevention
The engine of the car can be included only if the car is open by means of the transmitter.
Normal work of VIM is provided at tension from 9 to 16 Century.
Transmitter
The transmitter is used for unlocking or locking of doors and at the same time for unblocking or blocking of the engine of engine management.
On the transmitter there are 2 buttons, each of which acts during 20 ms, and the pressing two buttons does not cause at once any actions.
Code – changing, ciphered by means of a random number and special algorithm. Passive protection
The system of blocking works automatically, blocking the car after time of a delay which depends on the event which has caused operation.
After ignition switching off: 20 pages.
After receiving the unlocking RKE code: 2 minutes.
After interception procedure in which the correct code of transfer of management is used: 2 minutes.
Prevention
The last event causing operation, defines own time of a delay.
For example, if unblocking was carried out by RKE, and the switch of ignition was switched on through 1 mines and in some seconds is again switched off, time of a delay of automatic blocking will make 20 pages.
This way of passive protection corresponds to requirements of insurance companies of all European states.
The condition should be kept in ЭСППЗУ on a case of shutdown of the battery.
Turning on of the transmitter at the included ignition will transfer blocking system to an unblocking mode, but will not cause any actions with doors.
Code of transfer of management
The internal code of transfer of management of the receiver can be various for different receivers. The code of transfer of management can be transferred to the receiver or via diagnostics socket, or by means of procedure of interception of the management, described below.
After reception of a code of transfer of management and double reception of the first code of the transmitter during the following 10 about a new code it will be written down to the place of former which will be removed. This operation should be done for each transmitter, one behind another.
Because of existence the code of a radio transmitter of a changing part, at two transmitters delivered with the receiver should have various fixed codes which are stored in memory of the receiver. From the beginning of use of the new transmitter a code of one of former transmitters it will be removed from memory according to a rule of simple turn.
Receiving a code of transfer of management transfers blocking system to the readiness mode, giving the chance to start the engine in that case when all transmitters are faulty or lost. Reception of void codes
In a case when frequency of the transmitter coincides with frequency of the receiver, and the code is void, the system remains in a condition of blocking and the condition of doors does not change. In this case, to prevent car stealing by selection of a code (scanning), the receiver is disconnected on an interval of time which increases in a geometrical progression with each accepted void number: 0,2 with, 0,4 with, 0,8 with etc. to 25,6 pages.
Prevention signal
When the owner locks doors, the relay of a signal of the prevention turns on on 1 page. When the owner unlocks doors, the signal of the prevention does not move.
Limp home procedure
Procedure of interception of management is necessary to provide possibility of use of the car in case of a system exit out of operation. Procedure of interception influences directly RSM and does not influence VIM.
Procedure of interception of management (called by the Limp home procedure) does not influence VIM which remains in a blocking condition.
Management transfer to the new transmitter becomes possible only via diagnostics socket.
RSM FOR limphome unblocking:
Purpose: single unblocking of RSM in case of a mistake by code transfer.
Function: input of personal identification number (PIN), for example, by means of MIL and a pedal of an accelerator or by means of the diagnostic device causes RSM unblocking in case of a mistake by transfer in system of blocking of RSM.
Input PIN: The PIN is set at final assembly, corresponding, for example, to the last figures of technical data sheet (only at the desire of the buyer: The PIN can be changed by input from the diagnostic device).
Unblocking procedure for limphome by means of input the PIN by means of an accelerator pedal
It is applicable, when VIM is blocked or in case of a mistake at an exchange between VIM and RSM.
PERFORMANCE ORDER |
1. At inclusion of ignition of MIL will start to blink quickly. It means that RSM is ready for the operation LIMPHOME. |
2. If the driver presses (against the stop) a pedal of an accelerator (PAS), MIL will join approximately on 2 with, then on 2 with will be switched off. It means that RSM started to accept the first figure the PIN of the driver. |
3. The first figure is distinguished by RSM depending on the moment when it was released by PAS. For example, if the driver released a pedal during the first switching off of MIL (2 c), it means that RSM distinguished "0" and if it released a pedal during the second inclusion or MIL switching off, it means that RSM distinguished "1" as the first figure of a code. |
4. After RSM distinguishes the previous figure, MIL joins approximately on 5 with, and during this time the driver should press again a pedal for input of the following figure. |
5. In precisely the same way, as it is described in a step 3, enter four more figures. |
6. If all figures of a code are successfully distinguished RSM and a code coincided with the RSM internal code, MIL will be switched off. |
7. Now the engine can be switched on. |
8. If the engine started by means of the limphome function, is switched off, for its restart the driver should repeat the operation limphome because this function is calculated on "SINGLE START". |

Delay
To prevent car stealing by continuous attempts of input of a code of transfer of management, the system is blocked on the interval of time defined as follows:
After 5 unsuccessful attempts the system will be blocked for a while (N–4) x 20 seconds. N–number of attempts.
After 5 unsuccessful attempts the sound signal with frequency 2,5±0,5 in Hz during 30 pages will be given. |
