5.6. Valve of a control system of frequency of rotation of idling

GENERAL INFORMATION

At operation of the engine idling the butterfly valve is almost completely closed. Therefore adjustment of amount of the air submitted to round of a butterfly valve is necessary for normal operation of the engine.

The valve of a control system of frequency of rotation of idling (IAC) allows to support a constant frequency of rotation of a cranked shaft of the engine idling at increase in mechanical and electric loadings. The control unit the engine (RSM) reacts to changes of frequency of rotation of the engine idling, caused by changes of conditions of loading, and operates the electromagnetic valve of control of a control system of frequency of rotation of idling.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Start up the engine and warm up it to working temperature.
2. Check, whether clicks are listened and whether frequency of rotation of a cranked shaft of the engine to 1000 mines-1 increases at a detachment of the socket of the electromagnetic valve of a control system of frequency of rotation of idling (IAC).
3. If frequency of rotation of a cranked shaft of the engine does not change, check the IAC valve as follows.
4. Disconnect the electric socket from the IAC valve.
5. Measure resistance of the IAC valve.

Resistance: 15–18,2 Ohm (at temperature 20°С)
6. If resistance does not correspond to the specified range of values, replace the IAC valve.
