13.3. Check of effort of turn of a steering wheel
PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Insert the thermometer into a tank for liquid of the amplifier of a steering.
Prevention

Continuously turn a steering wheel during no more than 15 pages.
2. Start up the engine and several times turn a steering wheel to the left and to the right while the temperature of liquid will not reach 50-60°C.
3. Establish the car on a horizontal surface and establish a steering wheel in average situation.
4. Attach to a rim of a steering wheel a spring dynamometer and measure the force demanded for commission of one complete revolution of a wheel. This force should not exceed 3 kgfs.
Prevention

For obtaining the correct indications apply force to a spring dynamometer on a tangent to a steering wheel.
5. If force exceeds the specified size, the shortcoming or leakage of liquid of the amplifier of a steering, air of hydraulic system, the low pressure created by the pump of the amplifier of a steering, low pressure in steering transfer and air in tires therefore it is necessary to check these knots can be the reason of it.
6. Get the thermometer.
