6.5. Check of fuel pipelines
GENERAL INFORMATION
Prevention

The fuel system remains under pressure even after engine switching off therefore before a detachment of pipelines it is necessary to remove pressure in fuel system.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect a wire from the negative plug of the storage battery.
2. Connect the measuring device between the fuel filter and the main fuel hose.
3. Connect a wire to the negative plug of the storage battery.
4. An additional wire connect F/P plugs (the fuel pump) and In + the diagnostic socket.
5. Include ignition no more than on 10 with therefore the fuel pump will start to work and will create demanded pressure in fuel system.
6. Check pressure in fuel system.

Pressure in fuel system: 294–314 kPas

If pressure exceeds demanded values:

– check purity of the pipeline of return of fuel;
– if the pipeline of return of fuel is not polluted, replace a pressure regulator.

If pressure is lower than demanded value:

– close the pipeline of return of fuel and check, whether pressure raises;
– if pressure raises, replace a pressure regulator;
– if pressure does not raise, measure the maximum pressure created by the fuel pump.
7. Switch off ignition and remove the additional wire connecting plugs of the diagnostic socket.
