Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Lift the forward party of the car and fix on support.
2. Remove forward wheels.
3. Remove two protective covers and turn out two bolts and the plug.
4. Remove a support.
5. Remove a spring clip.
6. Remove brake shoes.
7. Measure thickness of brake shoes.
8. A cap wrench disconnect a brake tube, thus collect the leaked brake liquid.
9. Turn out two bolts and remove directing brake shoes.
10. Measure thickness of a brake disk in four places on a circle.
11. By the indicator of hour type measure palpation of a brake disk.
12. Turn out two screws and remove a brake disk.
13. Remove a rust and a step on perimeter of a brake disk. If necessary, replace a brake disk.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Check overlays of brake shoes on absence of pollution by oil or lubricants, wear, cracks, and also measure thickness of overlays of brake shoes.

Thickness of brake shoes:
The nominal: 11,0–11,5 mm
The minimum admissible: 1,5 mm

2. Visually check the basis of brake shoes on absence of damages, cracks or non-uniform wear.
3. Measure thickness of a brake disk.

Thickness of a brake disk:
The nominal: 24 mm
The minimum admissible: 22 mm

4. By the indicator of hour type measure palpation of a brake disk at distance of 8-12 mm from external edge.

Maximum permissible palpation: 0,1 mm.

Prevention

Excessive palpation can be caused by the free bearing of a nave of a wheel.

Palpation of bearings of a nave is inadmissible. A measurement place – external edge of a surface of a brake disk.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Installation is carried out to sequences, return to removal, taking into account the following.
2. Add brake liquid and remove air from system.
3. Be convinced of absence of leakages of liquid.
4. Several times press a pedal of a brake and be convinced that the brake does not interfere with wheel rotation by hands.
