10.4. Self-diagnostics system

GENERAL INFORMATION

In the control unit the system of protection of the engine which works in case of failure of any device on an entrance or an exit is available a power transmission of the car. It has three appointments: self-diagnostics, fault tolerance and display of codes of diagnostics of malfunctions.

The RSM control unit possesses also function of the control device for the help in an assessment of characteristics of separate switches and warmed-up sensors of oxygen. The tester of self-diagnostics (KJ–1) can be used for reading of codes of malfunctions from the control unit by a power transmission and control of operation of various switches on an entrance and warmed-up oxygen sensors.

General note

The system of self-diagnostics which is included in the AKP control unit, defines malfunctions of the main sensors (entrance), electromagnetic valves (exit) and the AKP control unit. The course of data processing or the remained functional problems are remembered in the AKP control unit in the form of special codes. The device of self-diagnostics (KJ–1) is used for definition of numbers of codes of malfunctions and allows to supervise all switches.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Connect the special tool to the control unit a power transmission or diagnostics socket.
2. Include ignition.
3. Press the No. button 3 choice of the checked switch.
4. Check each switch.

General notes

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. If it is revealed more than one malfunction, they will be consistently displayed from smaller number to the bigger.
2. If the controllable plug of the diagnostic socket is not earthed, the indicator of keeping of transfer will periodically join and be switched off before malfunction elimination. The code of malfunction will register in the AKP control unit.
3. The AKP control unit possesses fault tolerance function for protection of the sensor of provision of a butterfly valve, the sensor of speed and all solenoids. At failure of one part other parts will function according to previously set program of ensuring fault tolerance. Thus the car will be supported in working condition though it and will be influenced by efficiency of a drive.
4. The written-down codes of malfunctions are erased at a wire detachment from the negative plug of the battery for the period of more than 20 pages.

2. Include ignition.
3. Find a cause of defect according to diagnostics procedure when using the special tool.
