10.9. Testing for delay time

GENERAL INFORMATION

In engine operating time on frequency of idling when moving the lever of a choice of a mode of movement from a neutral position before operation will be felt, there should be a time lag. Testing of a time lag is a check of operability of N-D, 1–2 and N–R of accumulators, couplings of a forward course and one-pass couplings, a brake tape of switching of 2-4 transfers and a brake for low speed and a backing.

Execute the preparation presented in the section "Testing of collaboration of an automatic transmission and the engine on the motionless car"

Testing


PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Start up the engine.
2. Check frequency of rotation of a cranked shaft of the engine idling.

Technical characteristics:

Frequency of rotation of a cranked shaft of the engine idling: 800±50 mines-1
Installation of a corner of an advancing of ignition (to the top dead point): 10±1 ° (Contact of TEN of the diagnostic socket is earthed)

3. Move the selector lever from "N" position to a position "D" a.sekundomer measure time from the moment of moving of the lever before transmission operation.
4. By a stop watch measure time from the moment of moving of the lever before transmission operation.

Prevention

Operation of the engine within, at least, one minute on frequency of rotation of idling cools transmission liquid and prevents deterioration of its properties.


5. At the working engine move the selector lever to a position N and leave the engine to work at frequency of rotation of idling within, at least, one minute.

Prevention

Execute on three testings on each mode and calculate average value of a delay.


6. Similarly hold testing when moving the lever of the selector to the following provisions:

a. in a position N> D;
b. in a position N> D (A mode of keeping of transfer);
c. in a position N> R

Delay time:
positions N> D 0,5–1,0 with
positions N> R 0,5–1,0 with
