10.8. Testing of collaboration of an automatic transmission and the engine on the motionless car

GENERAL INFORMATION

Testing is carried out to define, whether there is a proskalzyvaniye of elements of a friction or violation in work of hydraulic components.

Preparation


PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Before test check and if necessary correct level of cooling liquid, engine oil and transmission ATF liquid.
2. Start up the engine before transmission warming up to temperature 60~70°C.
3. Tighten the parking brake and establish a maple emphasis under lobbies and back wheels.
4. Connect to the engine a tachometer.

Carrying out testing


PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Start up the engine.
2. Check frequency of rotation of a cranked shaft of the engine idling and in a selector "R" position.

Technical characteristics

Frequency of rotation of a cranked shaft of the engine idling: 800±50 mines-1
Installation of a corner of an advancing of ignition (to the top dead point): 10±1 ° (Contact of TEN of the diagnostic socket is earthed)
3. Move the selector lever to "R" position.

Prevention

For an exception of damage of a transmission execute steps 4 and 5 during 5 pages.


4. The left foot press against the stop a brake pedal, and the right foot smoothly press an accelerator pedal.
5. If frequency of rotation of a cranked shaft of the engine does not increase any more, read indications of a tachometer and release an accelerator pedal.

Prevention

Operation of the engine within, at least, one minute on frequency of rotation of idling cools transmission liquid and prevents deterioration of its properties.

Before each subsequent testing during sufficient time cool a transmission.


6. At the working engine move the selector lever to a position N and leave the engine to work at frequency of rotation of idling within, at least, one minute.
7. Similarly hold testing in the following positions of the lever of the selector:

a. in a position D;
b. in a position S;
c. in a position L.
